Chuckie Cheese with Nana and Pappy

This past Saturday, my dad had a wedding to do in Ft. Wayne, IN so we met them there and took Madelyn to Chuckie Cheese. She enjoyed herself so much.
Nana with Joshua.
Madelyn and Chris were playing some game. Madelyn had 70 tokens to spend.
Big Boy Joshua-sitting in the high chair ready to chow down. Chuckie Cheese the mouse with Joshua (he is sucking his thumb)
Madelyn in this riding toy with some other boy.

This car we saw on the highway. It is covered in magnets about being a vetern. On top, it has a fake man in a wheel chair. I was very sad that I could not get closer. I have never seen anything like it in my life. I do not believe there was a piece of the car that was even open. It was plastered with those magnets

Joshua - 7months

I am a couple days late. Joshua turned 7months on the 21st. He is getting so big. Just 7months ago, we were in the hospital trying to get his feedings to pick up so he could go home. He surprised us a whole month early. I woke up on Jan21st at 7am with my bed drenched. We were not ready for him to say the least. We went to the hospital and he was born around 2 in the afternoon. He was under the oxygen hood for a day and half. On IV's, heart moniter for two -three days. He weighed 5pds 14.8oz. He did very well though, we were able to take him home 3days before the doctor actually thought he would be ready. He now weighs over 18pds. I could not imagine my life without him. Each child is so special in their own way. I love my children so much.

equipment fixed

I finally got the equipment fixed. Scroll on down and enjoy some new pictures

A few crazy pictures

Miss Holliwood herself. I am afraid Chris is going to have to run some boys off.
Joshua is trying his best to crawl. He gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth. He will put one knee and one arm forward and then he falls forward. I give him a couple of weeks and he will have it.
I don't know if you can see the mess here or not, but last night during our fellowship, we kept hearing "1,2,3, go" We turned around and all kinds of spaghetti was thrown clear down this table by my dear daughter.
Here she is with it all over her hands. She was quite a sight.

Red Lobster

A man in our church, Jim and his wife Ruth took us out to eat Sat. evening. We went to Red Lobster. It was so wonderful. I had shrimp, lobster, baked potato, salad, and garlic cheese bisquits. YUM YUM!!!!
Madelyn and Ruth were walking around the parking lot. We had a 45 min. wait.
Jim and Chris talking outside.
Madelyn is looking at the Lobster tank. A worker got a lobster out so the kids could pet it, but Madelyn really wasn't interested. She said,"It was scary."
I don't know if you can see this or not, but Madelyn has one of the legs off of Chris' crab and was playing with it. She said, "The crab needed to walk."

putt-putt golf

This past Thursday was my birthday. Chris grilled out and then Friday night we took the kids putt-putt golfing. It was alot of fun. This was Madelyn's first time of putt-putting and she enjoyed herself very much. Here below, Chris is showing Madelyn how to hit the ball. A couple of times she got a hole in one.
Madelyn standing and watching her daddy hit the ball.
She is learning. All that mattered was that she was having fun.
This picture below was so funny. She ran up to the top where the hole was and was telling Chris where the ball was suppose to go. He told her that he was very glad that she showed him because otherwise he probably would not have known where to hit the ball to.
She got quite frustrated with this yellow loop. She could not get the ball to go through it so she eventually picked the ball up and put it in the hole herself. After we golfed, we went to Dairy Queen and got their new chocolate covered waffle bowl sundaes. Let me tell you, they are a piece of heaven on earth. I got the fabulous fudge and Chris got the turtle one. The turtle is alot better. It has carmel under and on top of the ice cream. Roasted pecans and cool whip. They are three dollars, but they are absolutely worth it. If you have not tried it you need to go and get you one. Below is the one that I had. YUMMM!!!!!
Madelyn enjoying her ice cream. Joshua enjoyed it himself. If you did not keep it in his mouth, he let out this high pitch scream.

A change in our life

For all of those who read my blog. Today Aug -19 - 07, in the morning service we put in our resignation. It was very difficult, but Chris and I for the past two months have felt like God was telling us it is our time to leave. Our last Sunday is Sept. 2nd. We have a trial sermon on Sept. 9th. in a little town about 20 miles west of Athens OH. That would be an hour and half from Columbus OH. Anyways, please pray for us. Whatever works out for us, we cannot move until Dec. 13th. because Chris has already started the fall semester at IU. We need to sell our home, also. Pray that God will work everything out.

I have pics to post of the kids, but I am having problems with my camera loading pics to the computer.

Madelyn and a pony

Monday, Chris had a trip planned to the zoo with two teenage boys. He took Madelyn with him. She pet the sharks and did not want to leave them. Then Chris bought a ticket for her to ride a pony. He said she took the ticket from him, walked up to the gate, handed it to the man, got on the pony and rode it all by herself with just the man that worked there. Chris took this photo with his cell phone. She absolutely loved it. When they left the zoo, Madelyn said she wanted to go home and go to bed. Her daddy wore her out.

swim party

Yesterday evening we went swimming. It was so hot outside that the water was even very warm. In fact the water was 80 some degrees, but it still felt good. Joshua just loved it. He kicked his legs and bounced around.
Chris is trying to teach Madelyn how to swim. She is not afraid of the water at all. That can be a good thing, but it can be scary to her mother.
She is jumping off the ladder into Chris' arm. She could do this all day.
We put the arm floats on her because she was going to the ladder herself and was jumping off. So we put these on her to help us relax. She went under a few times, but she loved every minute of it.
There they are, my three favorite people in the whole world.
All of us together. We just had a blast.
Chris and the kids. Joshua loved being on top of Chris' shoulders and Madelyn was trying to get them.
Chris and Joshua. They look so much alike.
Madelyn wanted to be in Joshua's turtle float. She is so crazy.
After swimming for an hour or so. Joshua fell asleep on my shoulder.
I forgot to turn this picture around, but Joshua still wrapped up in his towel is asleep in his carseat.
After we got out, we had pizza. Madelyn was trying her best to get the pizza opened.

Ricky and the kids

My brother, Ricky, came to our house Wed. night and stayed until Thursday evening. He leaves Tuesday to go back to Hobe Sound for school this fall. We had a great time. We took him out to the Sirloin Stockade. Here he is with Madelyn, at the end, and my two baby-sitting kids. The meal was wonderful, also. Ricky put his hat on Joshua.
Ricky, Joshua, and Madelyn. They love their uncle Ricky. Before he arrived, Madelyn kept saying, "Ricky is coming, YEA!"
Madelyn has refused to talk to my parents for the past three weeks. Later that night she talked to them on the phone. She wanted to go outside and I told her no. A few minutes later I heard the front door shut. I went outside and there she sat on the porch swing talking. I don't know what they were saying to her, but I could here her say, "Yea, of course," over and over. She is so cute.
We were eating lunch yesterday and Joshua was fussing.(that is very normal, they start fussing when you have to eat) Chris picked him up and started letting him suck the juice out of a tomato Chris was eating. It was so funny. Every time Chris would take it away, Joshua would start crying.

A fun afternoon

Today was a very hot day so I decided to get the water sprinkler out. Here are the three swimmers ready to run through the water. Joshua, Triston (boy, I babysit) and Madelyn
There they are enjoying it.
It was so wonderful and very cool. I got in it myself and got soaking wet. Joshua enjoyed it, also.

crazy and wonderful things

World Breastfeeding Week! To all of you moms who are or have breastfed your child. Isn't great, I love it. At our hospital in Marion, IN, we have a mom's support group every Tues. from 10:30- 12pm. We get our babies weighed and chat with other mom's. Yesterday they had a big thing for World Breastfeeding Week. There was a buch of us, we made crafts, one of them is that picture frame down below, we had snacks and door prizes. I got two door prizes, you can see them below. One is a box full of perfume, soap, candles etc. the other is a picture box. I was very thrilled and it was alot of fun. I just started baby-sitting this past week. Chris said he would stay with the two baby-sitting kids and Madelyn so I could go with just Joshua. That was great until I got back. This mess below was caused by 2 two yr. olds. There was toothpaste, toothbrushes, bananas, and water everyhere. Needless to say I made up for the two hours of being gone.
I wanted to show everyone my new porch swing we just got. They were $69 at wal-mart and they rang it up and it was $47. I was very excited. I love to sit in it.
Joshua in his bumbo on the new porch swing. He loves it too.
This was so cute. Joshua is drinking out of a sippy cup. Most of it went on is clothes. Oh well.
