Joshua sleeping

I put Joshua in his walker with some books and toys while I took a shower. After awhile he got really mad and cried himself to sleep. This is how I found him when I got out. I could not resist the taking the picture before I got him and laid him down.

Memorial Day (fun pictures)

I made some brownies for our cookout and Madelyn wanted to lick the bowl. As a child, I always loved that part of making stuff. (A little secret) I still do. I will lick the bowl dry.
Isn't she so cute?
This would be the after picture. To say the least, we had to get a wet washcloth and clean her up.
A crazy picture. Now we know where she gets her good looks. Ha Ha:)
Giving kisses to her mommy. Sometimes I get stressed with her, but I could never live without her. No matter how many times she tries my patients.

Memorial Day (park)

We decided to take the kids to the park, so we loaded up on bicycles and trailer and rode there. Joshua normally likes the ride, but this time he did not. He screamed the whole way. It was quite cute.
Chris was helping Madelyn climb this ladder so she could...
she could go down this slide. It has a big dip in it. I thought this slide was going to be too much for her, but she loved it.
And here is a picture of her climbing the same thing, but this time all by herself. There is one problem with her. She is not afraid of anything.

Memorial Day (grilling out)

At about three in the afternoon, it started pouring down the rain. In fact, it was raining on our way back from the park when we were on our bicycles. We were not sure if we were going to be able to have our cook out. But it stopped raining at about five pm. And we grilled our hamburgers and had our cook out. After we ate, we did some serious yard work. It still has to be finished tomorrow. Hopefully it will be done so I can show all of you.

This picture here is where we ate outside in our yard.
Madelyn and I were sitting on the porch while the burgers were grilling. She loves to have her sun glasses on all the time.
Here she is. Chris says she is a hottie!
The most wonderful chef ever in all the world. He makes awesome hamburgers. I love him lots. I don't know what I would do with out him.

A fun day

Yesterday was so wonderful. We didn't have alot to do, so we all just kind of chilled out for the day. We wanted to go to the park for a picnic, but it was damp and yucky outside so we layed a blanket in th living room floor and had our picnic lunch there. Sad to say, I forgot to take a piture of it. Here Madelyn wanted to hold her brother, and she said, "Mommy, I want a picure."
We had gone to a graduation on Friday. Madelyn is just like her mother. She cannot walk. We are having a good day if she only falls once. We were coming into the house and she fell on the sidewalk. So her dadddy brought her in and put medicine on her leg with a band-aid. And put her pajamas on her and then took her into the living room and sat her on the couch with a blanket and a book. It was quite pitiful.
Saturday afternoon, we heard the familiar tune of the ice cream truck. Madelyn went and got herself an ice cream. I tasted the ice cream and it did not taste good enough to pay $1 for it, but she loved it and enjoyed going to the ice cream truck. So it was worth it.
Madelyn loves to have her picture taken. She was outside playing in her car, an wanted her picture taken. She is so cute, and a wonderful bright spot in our day.
Saturday night we wanted to roast marshmallows for s'mores. But we live in a trailer park and cannot build a fire, so we did it over a gas grill. It ended up being a lot of fun. It definitately is not a camp fire, but it worked.
Here is Madelyn with her legs crossed, sittng like a lady.
And here is the great "camp fire"
This is a pillow that sits on my guest bed. I love the little saying on it. Boy, is it ever so true, though.

statement

It looks like that my page ran out of room so you will have to click on "older post" to view more vacation pictures.

Madelyn breastfeeding

This was so cute. The kids and I were at my Mom's Support Group at the hospital and some of us looked over and Madelyn had her dress pulled up and her baby doll's head up at her chest. She said she was feeding it. Bless her heart, she is trying to do what her mother does. She is trying her best to be a good mommy.

a statement

I did not realize until I got alot of this done, that I put this pictures on here backwards. We went to South Dakota first and then me and the kids went to OH. to my parents house. But I was not going to go back and change everything. So you will have to scroll down first and then work your way back up to the top of the page. I was trying to catch myself up on pictures from being gone for two weeks.

ohio...

Madelyn really hit it big this year on birthday parties. For when we were in OHIO, she and her cousin Riley are only 1-1/2 weeks apart. So of course we had another birthday party. This is Madelyn's birthday cake. (She is having another one in 1-1/2 weeks at our house)
I have no clue as to what her and Riley are doing, but they are sure looking or messing with something else.
Madelyn mashed her hand in the cake. So Riley and Jake are trying to help her.
It was time to open gifts and all of a sudden we looked dow and Madelyn was in this wagon with on of her gifts opening it. I can't even name all of the things she got. She enjoyed every one of them.

A trip to Ohio

We got in from South Dakota at midnight on Sat. night before mother's day. I and the kid's drove from 2am - 7am until we arrived at my parents house to surprise my mom for mother's day. We then stayed a whole week with them. Here is Madelyn and pappy. Madelyn loves pappy's big truck. She calls it her truck. They were gettin ready to go to the store. Even when they come to our house, they drive the truck because she likes it so much.
While we were there, I went and visited Chris' family on his dad's side. They only live 10 minutes from my parents. Lincoln and Joshua are in a kiddy pool. They are two months apart. Lincoln was born in Nov. and Joshua in Jan. They loved this pool. I went out and bought me one for my house.
Right before this picture was taken, Joshua rolled over by himself.
Here is Chris' cousin, Shannon (Lincoln's mom) and some of the little ones.

MORE vacation

While we were there, They had a birthday party for Jessica and Madelyn. Since their birthday were only a month away.
Here they both are. Their birthdays are 1 yr. and 12 days apart.
And of course Joshua needed some ice cream. He didn't quite know how to take it.
We had a wonderful time. I wish we could see them more often but it's kind of difficult being that far away. We are hoping to go out there again in August.

more vacation...

Madelyn is spending time with her grandma.
Uncle Jeffrey and Joshua are chillin' on the couch. It is quite a cute picture.
I was so glad I could catch this picture. Becky was talking to Joshua and he was smiling ad cooing at her. It was so wonderful.
The whole week, Madelyn was scared of Dalyn. (michelle's husband) She screamed when he would come near her, but we went to their house and she warmed right up to him. They keep passing each other some money that Madelyn found.
And of course we went to the park, which they all enjoyed.

vacation...

Once we finally got there, of course everyone was excited to see the kids. It had been since Christmas when we last saw everyone. This here is Chris' sister Michelle.
Here is Chris' other sister Audrey and her baby Paeyton. (By the way, Chris is the oldest of nine children in his family)
This is Madelyn and Paeyton. They are 2-1/2 mo. apart. They had lots of fun together.
Here are all the grandkids. The boy and girl on the left are Indian children. There mother lived with my in-laws for a few years when she was 16yrs. old. (L-R) Isaiah, Jessica, Joshua, Paeyton, and Madelyn
After we got done with the pictures they wanted to jump. I think this is the main thing they did all week. Madelyn loved it. As soon as we get us some poperty or a bigger house we are going to get her one. We live in a trailer park right now and they won't allow it.

vacation

My mother-in-law had not seen Joshua, so on Chris' break from spring and summer semesters, we went out to South Dakota. The kids were wonderful. We drove 17-1/2 hrs. each way. You never knew they were in the vehicle. Here is our Wisconsin mouse sign. Of course we had to stop and get Chris some cheese curds.
Here is our South Dakota welcome sign.
Joshua, while on vacation, was trying to roll over. I caught this on camera, he is on the hotel bed trying his best to get it accomplished. He finally succeeded one week later. He rolled from his back to his belly.
This is our faithful port-a-pot. Madelyn had just been potty trained for about two weeks. So weent to the goodwill and got this potty seat for $3.00. And when ever she needed to go to the bathroom, I just climbed to the back of the van, unbuckled her and set her on the potty and she did her business. It was wonderful. We never had to stop for her.

kid's in p.j's

We stayed at our friend, Andy Stroud's, house on Wednesday of mnisterial. We were out late, so this is taken at 1am. Joshua was chillin' on some blankets.

This is friday morning. Chris fixed me breakfast in bed. I had eggs, toast, bacon, and orange juice with love music and a candle. Well, Madelyn wanted some, so Chris fixed her some breakfast, also.
